Session 2-2: Reforming Forms: Accelerating Agency Performance with Data Management

The death of paperwork by technology has long been predicted, but eliminating paperwork does not eliminate the need for forms. In fact, technology has accelerated the move towards data-driven decision-making, requiring ever-more-detailed snapshots of information, whether it’s a hospital logging healthcare-related information, or a citizen applying for a federal loan. This means that effective data collection is now more important than ever – but agencies are faced with the challenge of integrating multiple technologies and back-end data processes into a single management model. This session will feature a discussion on how agencies collect, store, manage, and disseminate information in order to accelerate the government approval process, increase performance, and more effectively achieve mission objectives.

Attendees will learn:

  • The impact of forms management on overall agency performance
  • How agencies are empowering citizens by digitizing the forms process
  • What opportunities exist for agencies to integrate forms management into their other technology systems
  • How agencies are using digital forms management to process data in new and revolutionary ways

Speakers:

  • Moderator: Steve LeSueur, Contributing Editor, Federal Computer Week
  • Ben Elmore, CEO & Founder, Twin Technologies
  • Michael Jackson, Head of Healthcare Solutions, Adobe Systems
  • John Montel, eRecords Service Manager, Service Planning and Management, Department of Interior
